A K-12 educational institution in Gretna, LA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position lasting through the end of the 2025-2026 school year. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with PreK-8th grade students onsite, supporting their communication and speech development needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring to support student achievement.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50-60 students, primarily PreK through 8th grade.
- Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively with school staff and parents.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to building inclusive learning environments.
Qualifications:
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred but candidates finishing their Clinical Fellowship (CF) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working in school settings with PreK-8 students.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones and disorders.
- Ability to work onsite during regular school hours (37.5 hours per week).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
