A K-12 school located in Marrero, LA, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide onsite support for students from Pre-K through 8th grade. This contract position, starting immediately and ending in May 2026, offers the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of 50-60 students, delivering crucial speech and language services to support their academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for PreK-8 students to identify communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet student goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress.
- Document and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student achievements.
- Monitor and adjust treatment approaches based on student responsiveness and progress.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a current CCC credential preferred.
- Experience working in school settings with K-12 populations.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 50-60 students effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work onsite full-time.
