A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available to support students in a K-8 educational setting in New Orleans, LA. This role involves providing therapeutic services to a diverse caseload of students from PreK through 8th grade, addressing various developmental and physical challenges to enhance their academic and social participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions tailored to student needs within the school environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments and document student progress in compliance with educational and therapy standards.
- Manage a high caseload while ensuring quality and timely service delivery.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the overall educational goals of the school.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure required for practicing in Louisiana.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably within a K-8 or PreK-8 setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a school team.
- Ability to handle a high volume caseload efficiently without compromising quality of care.
- Commitment to supporting the developmental and learning needs of children in a school setting.
