A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support a dynamic K-12 educational environment in Arlington, TX. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing essential speech and language services to a diverse student body.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), providing guidance and oversight to ensure quality service delivery
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and re-evaluations for students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), attending meetings as case manager
- Manage a caseload of approximately 80 students, addressing diverse communication needs
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student success
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid certification/licensure to practice as an SLP in a school setting
- Experience working with K-12 students in an educational environment
- Ability to supervise support staff effectively
- Strong organizational and communication skills to handle caseload and coordinate IEPs
