This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a K-12 school environment in Dallas, TX, on a contract basis through the current school year. The role requires a professional with experience in school-based speech therapy, including proficiency in evaluations, re-evaluations, supervising an SLP Assistant, and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations and re-evaluations
- Supervising and collaborating with an SLP Assistant to ensure effective therapy delivery
- Participating actively in IEP meetings and documentation
- Managing a caseload of approximately 100 students, providing tailored speech therapy services
- Working onsite with hybrid schedule flexibility
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous school-based SLP experience, preferably with K-12 populations
- Strong understanding of educational regulations and IEP processes
- Ability to supervise and mentor an SLP Assistant effectively
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
