Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought to provide comprehensive services in a K-12 educational setting. This contract assignment offers a hybrid work model and is scheduled to last through the 2025-2026 school year, ending May 29, 2026.
Location: Richardson, TX (serving multiple campuses)
Contract Duration: Current School Year (CSY)
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Caseload: Approximately 80 students
Supervisory: Oversee SLP Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations per state and federal guidelines
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to diverse learners
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and best practices
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid license as a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience working in school settings with K12 students
- Ability to supervise and mentor SLP Assistants effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of current speech therapy techniques and educational legislation
