Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Supporting speech and language development in elementary students, this contract position requires a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to serve children from PreK through 5th grade within the Baltimore area. You will be assigned to two schools, providing therapy and enhancing communication skills essential for academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students (PreK-5)
- Collaborate with education and therapy teams to implement individualized plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress
- Participate in team meetings and parent conferences as needed
- Adhere to all district and state regulations and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as an SLPA
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners in elementary education
Location & Schedule:
- Position located in the Baltimore area
- Assigned to Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week)
- Contract duration from February 16, 2026, through May 29, 2026, with potential extension into Extended School Year (ESY) services in July 2026
- On-site position requiring full presence; no remote or hybrid work options available
