Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity seeks licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting within the Baltimore area. The positions involve working primarily on-site and support preschool through middle school student populations across multiple schools, including itinerant assignments at community preschool locations.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as an SLP
- Experience working with preschool, elementary, and secondary students in school settings
- Ability to supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-A) effectively, particularly for middle school caseloads
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and support staff
- Reliable transportation for itinerant positions among multiple schools
Location:
- Baltimore area, Maryland
- Assignments include community preschool locations, Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, and Aberdeen Middle School
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to students across K-12
- Manage caseloads that span early childhood through middle school age groups
- Conduct therapy sessions in various school settings including itinerant models
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals within the academic curriculum
- Supervise, guide, and support SLP Assistants in delivery of related services
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring consistent with school and state requirements
- Support Extended School Year (ESY) services as applicable
Work Schedule & Duration:
- Multiple contract durations available: Early December through January, mid-February through late May, and mid-March through mid-June, with potential extension into summer ESY sessions
- Full-time and part-time options (30-37.5 hours per week), Monday through Friday
