Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support elementary-aged students (PreK5th grade) in the Baltimore area. This on-site contract role is scheduled from mid-February through late May, with potential extension into the Extended School Year (ESY) four-week session in July.
Location and Schedule:
- Work sites: Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week)
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Start Date: February 16, 2026
- End Date: May 29, 2026 (option to extend through ESY in July 2026)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct SLPA services to elementary students requiring speech and language support
- Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists and educational staff to implement individualized therapy plans
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with school district policies
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs within the school environment
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as an SLPA required
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and families
- Commitment to providing in-person services on-site (no remote or hybrid options)
