There is a full-time contract opportunity for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Harvey, LA. Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing qualified professionals for this school-based role, working with an elementary school caseload.
To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements established by Louisiana state and local regulations. Previous experience supporting special education students and families is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities may include:
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports per district and state standards
Provide direct therapy in individual and small-group settings
Assist in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) assessments and device implementation when appropriate
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional input to goal development
Offer consultation and training to school staff regarding speech and language strategies
