Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
There is a full-time contract opportunity for an experienced School Psychologist in Harvey, LA. Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing qualified professionals for this school-based role.
To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements established by Louisiana state and local regulations. Previous experience supporting special education students and families is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities may include:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional functioning
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine eligibility for special education services
Develop and interpret evaluation reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to design and implement evidence-based interventions
Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services to support student well-being and academic success
Assist in developing and monitoring behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and functional behavior assessments (FBAs)
Support the creation and maintenance of a positive and inclusive school climate
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation and records per district and state standards
