Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Duties

Provide evaluation, treatment, and therapy services to students with fine motor, sensory, or functional challenges

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs

Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers to support student success

Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed

Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
Federal and State Requirements
-
Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Current North Carolina OT license required

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by North Carolina school districts
