Position Overview:
Blazer Jobs is seeking a compassionate and skilled Pupil Appraisal Social Worker to join our partner schools in the Harvey, LA area. The Social Worker will play a vital role in assessing students social, emotional, and behavioral needs, providing interventions, and connecting families with resources to promote student well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct social, emotional, and behavioral assessments as part of the pupil appraisal process.

Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student support plans.

Provide individual and group counseling to address social or emotional barriers to learning.

Assist in identifying and connecting families with community resources and support services.

Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district and state regulations.

Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings, providing professional recommendations for interventions and placements.
Requirements:

Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

Current Louisiana licensure as a School Social Worker or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

Experience working in school or child-centered environments preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
