School Psychologist Job Duties

Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret evaluation results to support student learning and development

Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support services to students

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement IEPs and interventions

Monitor and document student progress and adjust strategies as needed

Offer consultation and training to school staff on behavior management and mental health support

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations including IDEA and Section 504
Federal and State Requirements

Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program

Active Louisiana School Psychology certification or license required

Knowledge of IDEA, FAPE, and other applicable education laws

Previous school-based experience preferred

Must meet all state and district background clearance requirements
