North Carolina Requirements:
Candidates must hold a valid North Carolina Physical Therapy License issued by the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. A CAPTE-accredited degree in Physical Therapy is required. School-based or pediatric experience is highly valued. Fingerprinting and background clearance are required.
Durham, NC is seeking a full-time itinerant school-based Physical Therapist to provide services across multiple educational settings. Your work will ensure students build mobility, coordination, and independence, supporting their ability to succeed in school.
Responsibilities:

Assess students to determine physical therapy needs.

Provide direct PT services to students across assigned schools.

Collaborate with staff, parents, and other specialists to support student outcomes.

Document therapy progress and maintain compliance with school-based requirements.

Participate in IEP development and contribute to student goal-setting.
