An elementary school in Arlington, TX is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students from kindergarten through 5th grade during a maternity leave coverage from January through early April. This contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing services to a diverse caseload of 48 students across two campuses.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students at Old Settlers Elementary (40 students) and Southridge Elementary (8 students)
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and implement intervention plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
- Manage schedules effectively, including coverage for two half-days at an additional campus
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid State Speech-Language Pathology License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Candidates who are Clinical Fellows (CF) must have external supervision arranged prior to start date, as the district is unable to provide supervision
- Experience working in school settings with elementary-aged children (K-5)
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate multiple campuses
