A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services within a K-12 school setting in Harvest, AL. This role requires expertise in school-based speech-language pathology, working with a diverse student population across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers and school staff to facilitate student success.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding speech-language services.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
- Experience working in K-12 school environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of educational regulations and standards related to speech-language services.
