Two Speech-Language Pathologists are needed for a full-time contract role within an elementary school serving grades PreK8th in Huntsville, AL. This position offers a balanced schedule focused on direct therapy and assessment, ideal for professionals experienced in school-based and virtual settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services Monday through Thursday, with Fridays reserved for assessments and paperwork.
- Collaborate with one other SLP to manage and divide a caseload of approximately 58 students, ensuring individualized care.
- Utilize para support to assist in bringing students to therapy sessions.
- Conduct case management and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), preferably using PowerSchool or similar platforms.
- Adhere to Alabama state laws and school district procedures relevant to speech and language services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with an active Alabama license.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience delivering services in school settings and through virtual platforms.
- Familiarity with Alabama education regulations is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a split caseload arrangement.
- Knowledge of case management and IEP compliance is valued.
