Two full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) positions are open at an elementary school serving PreK-8th grade students in Madison, AL. The contract runs from early January through May 22, 2026, aligning with the current school year schedule. These roles provide an excellent opportunity to impact a diverse student population by addressing speech and language needs in both in-person and virtual settings.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with one other SLP to divide and manage a current caseload of approximately 58 students, including around 9 primary-level clients.
- Conduct speech and language therapy Monday through Thursday, reserving Fridays for comprehensive student assessments.
- Utilize para support to facilitate student transitions to therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate case management and IEP documentation, preferably through electronic systems such as PowerSchool.
- Implement therapy tailored to student goals, ensuring adherence to relevant state education laws and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid active Alabama SLP license is required.
- Possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is highly preferred.
- Proven experience working in school-based and virtual therapy environments.
- Knowledge of Alabama educational laws and regulations is a strong advantage.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with educational staff and family members.
- Familiarity with managing individualized education programs (IEPs) and case management systems.
Schedule & Location:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Therapy sessions held Monday through Thursday; Fridays allocated for assessments.
- School day begins at 7:45 a.m. CST.
- Located in Madison, Alabama.
