Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized physical therapy services within an elementary school setting in Glendale, AZ, focusing on students from kindergarten through eighth grade. This full-time, contract position runs from ASAP through May 20, 2026, offering an opportunity to contribute to student health and development within an established educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to each student's needs.
- Develop, implement, and continually update individualized educational plans based on ongoing assessments.
- Oversee therapy assistants and aides, assigning tasks and monitoring work quality.
- Conduct in-service training sessions for school staff and parents, introducing new materials and therapeutic techniques.
- Provide families with home programs to support therapeutic goals outside the school setting.
- Collaborate with school personnel to integrate therapy plans into the educational environment effectively.
Qualifications:
- Current Arizona Physical Therapist license is required.
- Valid IVP fingerprint card must be obtained and presented.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-8) preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively train staff and engage families.
- Ability to supervise therapy staff and manage caseload efficiently.
- Familiarity with educational plan development and implementation.
