Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Physical Therapist position is available at an elementary school serving students from Kindergarten through 8th grade in Mesa, AZ. This contract role runs through the current school year, providing an opportunity to support young learners physical development within a dynamic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans based on thorough evaluations, continuously assessing and revising to meet student needs.
- Provide students and families with home programs to reinforce therapeutic goals beyond the school environment.
- Supervise therapy assistants and aides by assigning tasks and monitoring their performance to ensure quality care.
- Deliver in-service training sessions to school staff and parents, presenting new materials, demonstrating procedures, and explaining processes to foster a collaborative support system.
Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Physical Therapy (PT) license.
- Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card.
- Experience working with elementary-level students (K-8) preferred.
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with educators, parents, and therapy team members.
Location: Mesa, Arizona on-site work is required to maintain close collaboration with school staff and students.
