A full-time physical therapy position is available in an elementary school setting serving grades K-8. This contract opportunity spans from ASAP through May 20, 2026, and requires onsite work in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on providing skilled therapeutic services to students within the school district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized educational plans for students, revising programs as necessary.
- Supervise therapy assistants and aides by assigning tasks and monitoring their performance to ensure quality care.
- Conduct in-service training sessions for school staff and parents, introducing new materials, processes, and therapeutic procedures.
- Provide students and families with home programs to support the carry-over of therapy goals in daily environments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Arizona Physical Therapist license.
- IVP fingerprint card must be included in presentation materials.
- Experience working within an elementary (K-8) school setting preferred.
- Ability to develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively train and collaborate with school staff, parents, and therapy team aides.
