Join a dynamic K-12 educational setting in the Washington DC area as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time contract opportunity runs from January 5, 2026, through May 29, 2026, providing essential support to elementary and middle school students across no more than two schools per clinician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech-language pathology services to students within a caseload typically around 50, serving elementary and middle school ages.
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor and assess student progress to adapt interventions accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation consistent with professional standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive school environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Virginia SLP licensure is required.
- Candidates with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows eligible for supervised placement.
- Willingness to work full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday); part-time applicants considered if available for at least 20 hours per week.
- Previous school-based experience is a plus but not mandatory; support provided.
- Ability to manage caseloads of up to 55 students, ensuring effective and timely services.
- Interest in SLPA candidates is noted, although not traditionally hired.
