A full-time School Psychologist position is available to provide specialized psychological services across multiple schools within a K-12 setting in Irving, TX. This itinerant role spans six campuses, including one high school, one middle school, one intermediate school, and three elementary schools, offering a variety of diverse student populations to support. The contract position runs from ASAP through May 21, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) as part of initial assessments
- Perform counseling evaluations and provide consultative counseling services alongside licensed professional counselors
- Participate selectively in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, primarily when cases are controversial or involve parental disagreements; full attendance required for Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs)
- Manage caseloads across assigned campuses efficiently while maintaining compliance with district policies and regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or an Associate School Psychologist Credential as issued by the Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Demonstrated skills in administering psychological evaluations and understanding special education processes
- Strong consultative and communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work effectively in an itinerant role, covering multiple school sites
