This full-time School Psychologist position offers the opportunity to support a diverse K-12 student population in a vibrant Dallas, TX school district. The role is a contract assignment starting immediately and continuing through late May of the next year. The psychologist will serve in an itinerant capacity across six schools, including high school, middle school, intermediate school, and elementary schools.
Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) as part of initial assessments. The position also involves carrying out counseling evaluations and providing consultative counseling services, working alongside Licensed Professional Counselors. Attendance at Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings is generally not required except in cases of controversy or parental disagreement, with Mandatory Review Dates (MDRs) being an exception.
Qualifications for this role require the candidate to hold a valid License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or an Associate School Psychologist Credential issued by the Board of Examiners of Psychologists. This ensures all evaluations and interventions meet professional standards and regulatory requirements.
