Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist position is available within a K-12 school district in Arlington, TX. This contract role is for the current school year (CSY), starting ASAP through May 21, 2026. The position requires on-site work only and involves supporting multiple schools, including one high school, one middle school, one intermediate school, and three elementary schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) as part of initial psychological assessments
- Perform counseling evaluations and provide consultative counseling services in collaboration with Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC)
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings primarily when cases are controversial or there is parental disagreement; mandatory attendance at Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs)
- Manage an itinerant caseload across six diverse campuses, ensuring timely and thorough support for students and staff
Qualifications:
- Possession of a License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Associate School Psychologist Credential issued by the Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Experience working within a K-12 environment is preferred
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple school assignments efficiently
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to advocate for student needs
